BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider

 BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) This is a 4 hour course.

Skills to be practiced during the course include:  

Basic Life Support (BLS) is for healthcare providers. Examples: Doctors, Nurses, Dental Providers, Pharmacists,  hospital workers, Nursing students, senior care facilities, EMTs.

High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants. 
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• Use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Coming to class on your scheduled date and time automatically affirms you do not have any symptoms of an illness or any unexplained rashes within the past week. BLS HeartCode® (Skills check only)

Thank you for choosing Heart to Heart CTC as your continuing education provider. You are registering for the HeartCode® BLS (Skills check only).  This is the second part of the BLS online blended course.  Part one online must be completed prior to taking this class. This is approximately 1 hour.

BLS Instructor Renewal Class/New Alignment Orientation

A MASK IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS. 

This course is for current CPR Instructors that need to renew their AHA Instructor card. 

If you have not renewed your Yearly Affiliation fee in August, Please remember to add the fee when you are re-newing.

It is also an orientation course for new alignments to the training site that is required when changing alignments. 

You must have a current AHA BLS Provider card to take the renewal course or orientation.

Your current instructor card must not be expired to take the instructor renewal class.

You are required to take the BLS Instructor Essentials online course for your renewal class.

You must have the current edition of the instructor manuals and student handbook.

Heartsaver® CPR AED+First Aid

Thank you for choosing Heart to Heart CTC . You are registering for the Heartsaver Course cpr/aed/ first aide. **This course is for laypeople not healthcare providers.  Teachers, childcare providers, parents, grandparents, babysitters, school children k-12 (must be big enough to compress manikins), some employers require a basic cpr class and first aide. This class is approximately 5 hours.

Skills to be practiced during the course include:  THIS COURSE IS FOR LAYPEOPLE TO LEARN BASIC CPR until emergency personel arrive on sit.

High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

• Use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• First Aid skills including use of an epinephrine pen, stoppping bleeding & bandaging, proper use of gloves
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online   $20.50  Product Number : 20-1440

The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care and the 2020 American Heart Association and American Red Cross Update for First Aid. This course is designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This is approximately 1 hours.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training.

Upon successful completion of both the online and hands-on portions of the course, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • Recognize when someone needs CPR

HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases.

Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the written exam with a score of 84%. Students then are able to attend the hands-on session required for full course completion.

After successfully completing the HeartCode ACLS Course, including the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session, students should be able to

•Apply the BLS, Primary, and Secondary Assessments sequence for a systematic evaluation of adult patients

•Perform prompt, high-quality BLS, including prioritizing early chest compressions and integrating early AED use

•Recognize and perform early management of respiratory arrest

•Discuss early recognition and management of ACS and stroke, including appropriate disposition

•Recognize and perform early management of bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome

•Recognize and perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including immediate post–cardiac arrest care

•Model effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance team

•Evaluate resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continuous assessment of CPR quality, monitoring the patient’s physiologic response, and delivering real-time feedback to the team

•Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance

•Discuss how the use of a rapid response team or medical emergency team may improve patient outcomes

•Define systems of care

PALS HeartCode® (skills check only)

A MASK IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS 

 

This is a skills session only, you must complete part 1 online and bring you certificate of completion to your skills session to complete your skills check. Part one can be ordered on line for $151 or from us for $176.  Ask for links to purchase online. An unexpired PALS card must be presented to take the class for renewal.

HeartCode® PALS is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements and are seeking an alternative (nonclassroom) method for receiving a Course Completion Card.

HTH 68 HR MEDICATION AIDE DAY

Program approval pending completion of pre-entrance exams. Must achieve a minimum grade of 75% to be accepted.

Class Requirements:
Must be 18 yrs old
High School Diploma or GED
Read. write and speak English
Background check no barrier crimes
BLS/CPR card
Immunizations (Hepb, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Covid, Flu and TB Test)
Application, final contract and requirements will be sent via DocuSign to complete your registration. Please complete as soon as you receive to complete your student file.
Google Classroom Invitation will be sent to you to register for pre-entrance assessments to complete your course approval and acceptance into your program.
Deposit payment signifies that you are accepting all regulations and rules of Heart to Heart Career Training Center and have entered into an agreement (contract) with Heart to Heart CTC for vocational training.
CANCELLATION REFUND POLICY
Rejection: An applicant rejected by the school is entitled to a refund of all monies paid.
Three-Day Cancellation: An applicant who provides written notice of cancellation within three (3) business days, excluding weekends and holidays, of executing the enrollment agreement is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, excluding the $100 non-refundable registration fee.
Other Cancellations: An application requesting cancellation more than three (3) days after executing the enrollment agreement and making an initial payment, but prior to the first day of class is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, less a maximum tuition fee of 15% of the stated cost of the course or $100, whichever is less.
Withdrawal Procedure:
A. A student choosing to withdraw from the school after the commencement of classes is to provide a written notice to the Director of the school. The notice must include the expected last date of attendance and be signed and dated by the student.
B. If special circumstances arise, a student may request, in writing, a leave of absence, which should include the date the student anticipates the leave beginning and ending. The withdrawal date will be the date the student is scheduled to return to from the leave of absence but fails to do so.
C. All refunds will be submitted within 45 days of the determination of the withdrawal date.

HTH 4 HR MEDICATION AIDE REFRESHER COURSE

This is a 4 hour refresher course to renew your Medication Aide license.You will need access to Google Classroom to enter the course. It is a 4 hour class. Please contact the office for the date you would like to take the exam and the time. It is offered on Fridays from 10am-5pm and must be completed in 4 hours.

HTH NURSE AIDE DAY CLASS

Deposit and  Lab Fees required to register. 

You can add on your misc fees and pay for them now or be billed in an invoice. 

You can order your textbooks and pay for them when registering or order your own.

If you are making a payment plan, you will be charged the $25 finance fee.

HTH PCA Online Course 40 HRS

Online Personal Care Aide

Individuals who are interested in Personal Care Aide Training will have the opportunity to improve patients’ quality of life and ensure that they receive the best care possible. Our online Personal Care Aide training at Heart to Heart Career Training Center course offers practical training designed to equip personal care aides with the skills needed to be an effective caregiver. Emphasis is placed on recognizing changes in condition, to whom and how to report such changes and accurately document. Skills include skin care, nutrition, fall prevention, home management and more. This is not a State Board of Nursing program. No clinicals are required.

PCA STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Must be able to read & write English at the level necessary to understand the training manual.

  • Good manual dexterity & visual acuity.

  • Able to lift 50 lbs

This is an online personal care aide course equivilant to a 40 hour class. Passing grade is 80% to receive your Certificate of Completion.

Registration is online and all tuition fees are paid at the time of registration.

Your student registration packet will be emailed to you to complete and return prior to class start date. Please see requirements list for your class. 

All students will take the pre-examination assessments prior to their class.
